TALITA, Rainha da praia 2008, a remporté le "Desafio das Rainhas" ce dimanche sur la plage d'Ipanema - plage du Beach Volleyball brésilien - devant un public déchainé. Avec sa partenaire habituelle, RENATA, elle a encore une fois brillé sur tous les plans du jeu tout en gardant son sourire légendaire.

La paire brésilienne a pourtant mal engagée le match puisque le premier set a été dominée, 21-11, par les américaines Misty MAY- Nicole BRANAGH qui semblait largement au dessus surtout à l'attaque et au service.

Lors du 2ème set alors que l'expérience de Misty MAY faisait la différence, mais RENATA en défense et TALITA au Block (2 block gagnant de suite sur Nicole BRANAGH) ont commencé à prendre logiquement le dessus ce qui leur a permis de gagner 21-18 alors qu'elles étaient menées 17-14.

Au dernier set les américaines ont montré une grande baisse de régime dû surtout à une condition physique pas encore au top. Résultat: les brésiliennes s'envolent et gagnent ce "Desafio" en remportant le 3 ème set 15-12.

Elles diminuent ainsi l'écart entre le Brésil et les USA sur la totalité des 5 Desafio entre les 2 nations : USA 3 BRESIL 2

A noter que RENATA déclarait après son match : "Même si elle ne jouait pas avec Kerri WALSH, battre Misty MAY est une motivation surtout de cette manière. Maintenant nous aurons cette victoire en tête losque l'on jouera contre elles. Cela a été une victoire fondamentale pour commencer une année aussi important pour nous".

TALITA, Rainha da praia 2008, won the "Desafio das Rainhas" this Sunday on the Ipanema Beach - Beach Volleyball venue in Brazil - in front of a hot crownd. With her usual partner, RENATA, she once again shone on all the plans of the play while keeping its legendary smile.

The Brazilian pair however badly engaged the match since the first set was dominated, 21-11, by American Misty MAY- Nicole BRANAGH which seemed largely at the top especially with spikes and with the service. At the time of the 2nd set whereas the experience of Misty MAY made the difference, but RENATA in defense and TALITA with the Block (2 block gaining on Nicole BRANAGH) started to take the top logically what enabled them to gain 21-18 then were carried out 17-14.

With the last set American showed a great fall due especially to at the physical condition not yet at the top. Result: the Brazilian keeping going and won this "Desafio" by winning the 3rd set 15-12. They thus decrease difference between Brazil and the USA on the totality of the 5 Desafio between the 2 nations: USA 3 BRAZIL 2.

TALITA a été couronnée nouvelle Reine de la Plage Vivo 2008 de beach volleyball. Elle a mis en échec Carol en gagnant la Finale par 2 sets à (21 /14 21/17) en 44 minutes sur la Plage d'Ipanema.

Avec cette victoire, elle participera au Défi des Reines - BRA vs USA - dimanche 3 fevrier, contre les Américaines Misty May-Treanor et Nicole Branagh.

TALITA succède ainsi à LARISSA en 2007, SHAYLYN en 2006, JULIANA en 2005, VAL en 2004, SHAYLYN en 2003, ANA PAULA en 2002, Sandra PIRES en 2001 et 2000, SHELDA en 1999.

TALITA was crowned new Queen of the Beach Vivo 2008 of beach volley ball. It put in Carol failure by winning the Final by 2 sets 0 (21 /14 21/17) in 44 minutes on the Beach d'Ipanema. With this victory, it will take part in the Challenge of the Queens - BRA vs the USA - Sunday February 3, against American Misty May-Treanor and Nicole Branagh.

TALITA succeeds thus LARISSA in 2007, SHAYLYN in 2006, JULIANA in 2005, VAL in 2004, SHAYLYN in 2003, ANA PAULA in 2002, Sandra PIRES in 2001 and 2000, SHELDA in 1999.
