AVP Crocs Tour 2008 - Glendale - Jennifer Boss and John Hyden the Best of the Beach 2008

Jennifer Boss et John Hyden avec l'aide de 2 Champions Olympiques, Kerri Walsh et Phil Dalhausser, ont remporté le Best of the Beach 2008 à Glendale dans un tournoi qui a rassemblé les 13 meilleurs joueurs et joueuses de l'AVP Crocs Tour 2008 et qui clôture la saison AVP 2008.

A noter tout de même l'absence de Misty May qui participe en ce moment à un show télévisé "Dancing with the Stars" où elle est associée à un danseur professionnel pour gagner une compétition de danse.

Dans le tournoi femmes, Jennifer Boss a été la joueuse la plus régulière et pour la première fois elle remporte une finale sur les 15 qu'elle a joué.

John Hyden en revanche remporte son 2ème titre de Best of the Beach de suite après avoir dit avant le tournoi qu'il lui sera vraiment difficile de réediter son exploit de l'année dernière. Il faut ajouter que c'est le premier joueur qui remporte cette compétition 2 fois de suite depuis 1993.

Jennifer Boss and John Hyden with helps of 2 Olympic champions, Kerri Walsh and Phil Dalhausser, won Best of the Beach 2008 in Glendale in a tournament which gathered the 13 best women and men players of the AVP Crocs 2008 and which encloses AVP season 2008.

Note the absence of Misty May which takes part in this moment in a TV show "Dancing with the Stars" where she's associated with a professional dancer to win a competition of dance.

In the women tournament, Jennifer Boss was the most regular player and for the first time she won a final over 15 she played.

John Hyden on the other hand off won its 2nd title of Best the Beach of continuation after having said before the tournament that it will be really difficult for him to redo its exploit of last year. It should be added that it's the first player who won this competition 2 times of continuation since 1993.

Les champions Olympiques Emanuel et Ricardo ont gagné aujourd'hui, sur la plage d'Ipanema, le "Desafio dos Reis" qui oppose le Rei da praia brésilien, avec le partenaire qu'il choisit, au "God of the Beach" américain associé au joueur qu'il a choisi. En jouant contre la paire formée par les Américains John Hyden, "God of the Beach", et Mike Lambert, Emanuel - "Rei da praia ViVo" 2008 - et Ricardo n'ont pas eu de difficulté à gagner par 2 sets 0 (21/17 et 21/17) en 53 minutes.

Avec cette victoire, Emanuel est sacré "Rei dos Reis" pour la seconde fois - il a été sacré déjà en 2005, toujours avec Ricardo, en battant encore une fois "Lambo" qui jouait cette fois là avec Stein Metzger.

Maintenant le Brésil même face aux USA par 8 victoires à 4.

With this victory, Emanuel is crowned "Rei dos Reis" for the second time - it was crowned already in 2005, always with Ricardo, by once again beating "Lambo" which played there this time with Stein Metzger.

Now Brazil leads USA by 8 victories to 4.
