Swatch FIVB Beach Volleyball World Tour 2008 - Hyundai Open Barcelona - Une première réussie / A great first edition

Un site exceptionnel, un sable de qualité olympique, un public qui a répondu présent, une équipe d'organisation aux petits soins avec les joueurs, le public et les VIP et une météo qui a finalement été clémente, le Hyundai Open Barcelona a réussi son entrée dans le Swatch FIVB World tour 2008. 

Tous les joueurs ont adoré ce tournoi et ont émis le souhait que Barcelone reste inscrit dans le calendrier. Le promoteur Francesc Ferrer a bien noté cela et va se remettre immédiatement au travail avec Xavi Bosma et toute l'équipe pour que Barcelone soit eu rendez-vous de 2009.

Côté compétition, les matchs ont aussi tenu leur promesse avec des surprises, des confirmations et une bataille olympique entre les équipes qui tiennent à être à Beijing cet été.

Le fait le plus marquant est l'excellent comportement des équipes de l'est, notamment des jeunes polonais - Kadziola/Szalankiewicz - et lithuaniens - Samoilovs/Plavin - qui finissent respectivement 9ème et 5ème.

A noter aussi le bon tournoi des Ces Brothers qui finissent 7ème après un match disputé face aux brésiliens Marcio-Fabio qu'ils perdent 2-0 (21-17 22-20) avec un petit regret, s'être laissé piéger par le temps mort médical demandé par Fabio à un instant stratégique du match sur une blessure dont on se demande si elle n'était pas plutôt psychosomatique...

Finalement dans ce tournoi Hommes, Christoph Dieckmann-Julius brink confirment leurs bons débuts dans le circuit mondial en battant de nouveau (pour la 3ème fois) Emanuel-Ricardo en demi finale et en gagnant la Finale face aux russes Barsouk-Kolodinsky.

Dans le tournoi femmes, les brésiliennes, pourtant en nombre, n'ont pas réussi à décrocher l'or pour ce 1er tournoi dans la capitale catalane.

En effet ce sont les américaines Elaine Youngs et Nicole Branagh qui ont réussi à battre Larissa-Juliana en demi finale et Talita-Renata en Finale et à remporter leur 1er tournoi du Swatch FIVB World tour 2008.

A noter l'excellente 4ème place des grecs Vasso Karadassiou-Vicky Arvanity.

All the players adored this tournament and emitted the wish that Barcelona remains registers in the calendar. The promoter Francesc Ferrer noted that and will immediately go back to work with Xavi Bosma and all the team so that Barcelona is had go of 2009.

Side competition, the matches also held their promise with surprises, confirmations and an Olympic battle between the teams which make a point of being in Beijing this summer.

The most outstanding fact is the excellent behavior of the east countries teams, in particular young Polish - Kadziola/Szalankiewicz - and Lithuanians - Samoilovs/Plavin - which finish respectively 9th and 5th.

To also note the good tournament as of the Ces Brothers which finishes 7th after a match disputed against Brazilian Marcio-Fabio who they lose 2-0 (21-17 22-20) with a small regret, to be let trap by the medical time out period requested by Fabio one strategic moment of the match on a wound which one wonders whether it n' was not rather psychosomatic…

Finally in this Men tournament, Christoph Dieckmann-Julius brink confirm their good starts in the world circuit by again beating (for the 3rd time) Emanuel-Ricardo in half finale and gaining the Final against Russian Barsouk-Kolodinsky.

In the women tournament, the Brazilian ones, however of number, did not succeed in taking down gold however for this 1st tournament in the Catalan capital.

Indeed it is American Elaine Youngs and Nicole Branagh which succeeded in beating finally Larissa-Juliana in semi final and Talita-Renata in Final and win their 1st tournament of Swatch FIVB World tour 2008.

To note the great 4th place of the Greeks Vasso Karadassiou-Vicky Arvanity.

Barcelone est à deux mois du premier Swatch FIVB World Tour organisé dans la capitale catalane. Les préparatifs de l'épreuve du Circuit Mondial de beach volleyball ont été supervisé par Jeff Brehaut, Superviseur Technique de la FIVB. Jeff Brehaut a inspecté cette semaine les installations de l'organisation de l'événement et a visité la Font Majica de Montjuic, lieu où sera installé le court central, avec le but de s'assurer du fonctionnement correct du World Tour Barcelone.
Le délégué international a eu différentes réunions avec Fernando Barbeito et Xavi Bosma, respectivement Directeur de Promotion et Directeur Technique du Tournoi , pendant lesquelles ils ont examiné tous les aspects en rapport avec l'événement. Les évaluations finales sur l'organisation, le plan de marketing, le plan medias, promotions et sécurité, que Jeff Brehaut a élaboré avec Francesc Ferrer ces derniers mois se sont avérés plus que satisfaisants.
La FIVB accorde donc une entière confiance à l'Organización du World Tour Barcelone, qui disposera partir de maintenant d'une plus grande autonomie pour pouvoir s'attaquer à la dernière ligne finale et à la mise en marche de la compétition. Le World Tour Barcelone passe l'examen de la FIVB et plus que 2 mois pour réussir à transformer le plus grand événement sportif à Barcelone, depuis les JO de 1992, en une réussite totale.
Barcelona is at two months of his first Swatch FIVB World Tour organized in the Catalan capital. The preparations of the World beach volleyball tour event were supervised by Jeff Brehaut, FIVB Technical Suprervisor. Jeff Brehaut inspected this week the installations of the organization of the event and visited Font Majica of Montjuic, place where will be installed the central court, with the goal to ensure itself of correct operation of World Tour Barcelona.
The international delegate held various meetings with Fernando Barbeito and Xavi Bosma, respectively Promotion Director and technical Director of the Tournament, during which they examined all the aspects in connection with the event. The final evaluations on the organization, the plan of marketing, the media plan, promotions and security, that Jeff Brehaut worked out with Francesc Ferrer these last months proved to be more than satisfactory.
The FIVB thus grants a whole confidence to Organización of World Tour Barcelona, which will have to leave maintaining a greater autonomy to be able to tackle the last final line and with the starting of the competition. World Tour Barcelona passes the examination of the FIVB and more than 2 months to succeed in transforming the greatest sporting event in Barcelona, since the Olympic games of 1992, into a total success.

Amb el SWATCH FIVB Beach Volley World Tour Barcelona a dos mesos de la seva estrena, els preparatius de la prova del Circuit Mundial de Volei Platja han estat supervisats per Jeff Brehaut, Supervisor Tècnic de la Federació Internacional de Voleibol (FIVB).
Brehaut ha inspeccionat aquesta setmana les instal·lacions de la organització de l’esdeveniment i ha visitat la Font Màgica de Montjuïc, lloc on s’ubicarà l’estadi que acollirà la prova, amb el propòsit d’assegurar el correcte funcionament del World Tour Barcelona.
El delegat internacional va tenir diferents reunions amb Fernando Barbeito i Xavi Bosma, Director de Promoció i Director Tècnic del Torneig respectivament, on van discutir tos els aspectes relacionats amb l’esdeveniment i els preparatius que s’estan duent a terme.
Les valoracions finals sobre l'organització, el pla de marketing, el pla de medis, promocions i seguretat, que Brehaut ha el·laborat han estat mes que satisfactories. Amb això, la FIVB atorga plena confiança a l’Organització del World Tour Barcelona, que disposarà a partir d’ara d’una major autonomia per poder afrontar el tram final organitzatiu i la posada en marxa de la competició.
El Beach Volley World Tour Barcelona passa la prova de la FIVB i encara els últims mesos abans que comenci la prova més important de volei platja des de les olimpiades del 92.
