AVP Crocs Tour 2008 - Manhattan beach Open - Joueurs en or pour un Tournoi Mythique - Gold Players for a Mythic event

Les médaillés d'Or Olympiques Misty May-Kerri Walsh et Todd Rogers-Phil Dalhausser jouent ce week end dans le tournoi légendaire de Beach Volleyball: le Manhattan Beach Open.

Il est certain que les deux équipes Championnes Olympiques voudront remporter le plus important événement de l'AVP Crocs Tour.

Vendredi, 58 équipes femmes et 58 équipes hommes ont débuté le tournoi et à la fin de la journée seulement 16 équipes dans chacun des genres restaient en course pour la grande Finale.

Quelques faits à propos de l'dition 2008 du Manhattan Beach Open:

• Phil Dalhausser / Todd Rogers - ils ont gagnés 10 tournois de l'AVP et vont défendre leur titre de champions 2007 de cet open.

• Jake Gibb / Sean Rosenthal - 5ème aux JO et ont gagné 3 tournois de l'AVP

• Nick Lucena / Sean Scott - 10 demi finales cette saison et 5 fois second.

• Stein Metzger / Mark Williams - ont gagné à Boulder qui fut la 1ère victoire de Mark Williams sur l'AVP

• John Hyden / Brad Keenan - ont participé ensemble à 14 événements sur les 31 de leurs carrières.

• Misty May-Treanor / Kerri Walsh - ont le record du nombre de victoires à Manhattan avec 28 victoires (dont 18 contre les Top 10 équipes).

• Jennifer Boss / April Ross - ont atteind les demi finales lors des 10 tournois sur les 11 auxquelles elles ont participé.

• Nicole Branagh / Elaine Youngs - depuis les JO elles ont gagné 11 matchs sur 13

• Annett Davis / Jenny Johnson Jordan - 2ème dans 7 tournois, la paire qui a été le plus de fois deuxième dans l'histoire de l'AVP Tour.

• Dianne DeNecochea / Barbra Fontana - En demi finales 3 fois sur les 4 derniers tournois.

 The Olympic Gold Medallists Misty May-Kerri Walsh and Todd Rogers-Phil Dalhausser play at the Legedary Beach Volleyball tournament Manhattan Beach Open this week end.

It will be sure that the two Olympic Champion teams will want to win the most important event of the AVP Crocs Tour.

Friday, 58 women teams and 58 men teams started to play and in the end of the day only 16 teams in both gender are still in road to the Big Final.
