USA / Bresil / Chine / Allemagne, voilà les 4 nations qui dominent le Main Draw à Phuket. Aucune surprise côté têtes de séries car à part l'équipe chinoise ZHANG XI-XUE (3) -arrêt sur blessure - , on retrouve sur les 8 dernières équipes, Misty MAY-Kerri WALSH (1), Tian JIA-WANG (2), BRANAGH-YOUNGS (4) et RENATA-TALITA (5).
Pas de résultat surprise mais une équipe surprise, ANA PAULA-SHELDA, qui réunit pour la 1ère fois a réalisé un bon parcours puisque les brésiliennes se classent 9ème. Pour une première c'est un très bon résultat mais c'est vrai aussi qu'il ne s'agissait pas non plus de n'importe quelles joueuses...

Côté équipes de France, Morgane FAURE et Virginie SARPAUX buttent sur 2 des meilleures équipes de Beach Volley du World Tour Rachel WACHOLDER-Tyra TURNER au 1er tour et Maria Clara-Carolina SALGADO au 4ème match et se classent 13ème. Deborah GIAOUI-Eva HAMZAOUI se classent finalement 17ème après avoir perdu face à l'équipe chinoise WANG-ZUO.

Kerri WALSH-Misty MAY et Tian JIA-WANG semblent être logiquement en route pour la finale. A noter que les américaines après ce tournoi auront atteind le nombre de tournois minimum nécessaire à se classer pour les qualifications olympiques.

No surprise, the top seeded teams, except for the team ZHANG XI-XUE (3) - stopped for injury -, we find on the last 8 teams, Misty MAY-Kerri WALSH (1), Tian JIA-WANG (2), BRANAGH-YOUNGS (4) and RENATA-TALITA (5).

No surprising results but a surprised team, ANA PAULA-SHELDA, who combines for the 1st time realized a good tournament because the Brazilians are classified 9th. For a first time it's a very good result but it is true as well it was not either about whatever players...

Side French teams, Morgane FAURE and Virginia SARPAUX didn't won against 2 of the beach volleyball best teams of the World Tour, Rachel WACHOLDER-Tyra TURNER in the 1st round and Maria Clara-Carolina SALGADO in the 4th match and are classified 13th. Deborah GIAOUI-Eva HAMZAOUI is classified finally 17th having lost in front of the Chinese team WANG-ZUO.

Kerri WALSH-Misty MAY and Tian JIA-WANG seem to be logically heading for the finale. To note that the American team, after this tournament, will have target the number of minimum tournaments to be classified for the Olympic qualifications.
